Role Description The Business Development Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata. This role involves identifying and generating new business opportunities for Tutopia, including outreach to schools, coaching centers, and other educational partners. The associate will conduct market research to understand regional education needs, create and deliver presentations to prospective clients, and support the development of sales strategies. Daily responsibilities include lead generation, follow-up communication, maintaining relationships with stakeholders, and collaborating with internal teams to align offerings with market demand. The role also requires regular reporting on business development activities and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, including clear spoken and written communication, and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Effective presentation skills and experience creating and delivering impactful presentations to groups or decision-makers.
- Experience in lead generation and managing prospect pipelines, with a focus on converting leads into partnerships or sales.
- Ability to conduct structured market research, analyze findings, and translate insights into actionable business strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of the education sector, preferably in the West Bengal board context.
- Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation abilities, and a goal-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency with common productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, CRM systems) is an advantage.
