Job details:
We’re hiring: Business and Technology Manager, Nagpur
Want to sit at the centre of a growing technology company, work directly with its founders, and build for some of India’s best-known businesses? Helixtech is hiring a Business and Technology Manager in Nagpur.
About Helixtech
Helixtech Asset Management is a technology solutions and systems integration partner that helps businesses maximise value from their existing technology investments. We develop customised software, AI-enabled solutions and process automation by integrating with existing CCTV, ERP, POS and vessel systems, enhancing operational efficiency and visibility while minimising additional capex. With a presence across India, the UAE, Africa, and the Caribbean, we act as an extension of our clients’ technology teams, delivering scalable, business-focused solutions.
The role
You sit between our clients, our technology partners and the founders. You help decide what we build, win the business that funds it, and make sure our vendors deliver it. One week you could be scoping a computer vision rollout on a factory floor; the next, negotiating with a development partner or shaping our pricing and strategy.
- Location: Nagpur, on-site, with travel to client sites
- Type: Full-time, 6-month probation
- Experience: 2 to 5 years
- Reports to: Kenisha Paliwal Agrawal (Co-Founder and CEO) and Pullak Gupta (Co-Founder and COO)
Why join Helixtech?
- Real ownership from day one: your own pipeline, accounts, and vendors, with the founders behind you rather than above you
- Learn from the founders: see how we price, negotiate, and win, working alongside both founders every day
- Clients most people only read about: live projects for Jindal Steel, Haldiram’s, Little Caesars India and shipping clients abroad
- Hands-on with the technology: AI, computer vision, dashboards, safety wearables and digital twins, from first call to go-live
- Vendor management early: scope, manage, and sign off partners’ work, experience usually reserved for senior roles
- Grow with the company: as Helixtech grows, this role grows into leading a team
The founders
- Kenisha Paliwal Agrawal, Co-Founder and CEO: Left Goldman Sachs Asset Management to build Helixtech, after D.E. Shaw in New York. BSc from Cornell University; MSc in Technology Management, Columbia University. Also drives international exports and expansion for Haldiram's. On the advisory board of O.P. Jindal University and part of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women at IIM Bangalore.
- Pullak Gupta, Co-Founder and COO: 24 years running large businesses at Reliance Jio, Reliance Payments and Fino Payments Bank. Former COO of Three Wheels United, a Norrsken Impact 100 company, and SVP at Delta Corp Holdings. MBA, IIM Calcutta; law degree, Mumbai University.
What we have built so far
- Jindal Steel: Safety wearables covering 4,000+ workers at the Angul plant, plus dealer loyalty apps and a field sales CRM with 23,710 dealers onboarded.
- Haldiram’s: Live intelligence for attendance, hygiene and safety, and number-plate analytics rolling out to 5 highway outlets.
- Little Caesars: Live store intelligence that checks footfall and orders against bills.
- Vulcan: A live digital twin of each vessel, so engine, fuel, and condition are visible from shore.
- Visco Orinoco: A voyage simulation algorithm that plans iron ore shipments around port limits and bottlenecks.
Where we are going
- India’s digital transformation market: $46B in 2025, heading to about $99B by 2030 - Worldwide: about $3.3 trillion by 2030
- 8.8 crore MSMEs in India, most still early in going digital: the clients this role will help us reach
What you will own
Win and grow clients:
- Open conversations with MSMEs and growing operators, from manufacturers and food processors to QSR chains
- Lead meetings and demos, and take every lead from first call to proposal, PO and decision
- Grow clients from one pilot to many sites, and build partnerships with integrators and ERP partners
Shape the solution and the strategy
- With the COO, turn real operational problems into scope, pilot plans and proposals clients say yes to
- Help decide which products we package, how we price them and which sectors we go after next
Lead delivery with our partners
- Set scope, SLAs and milestones for development partners and suppliers; hold them to time, quality and cost
- Project-manage from kick-off to go-live, including testing on site with the client
Open the government channel
- Get Helixtech onto GeM and CPPP, find the right tenders and build bids that win 5. Build how we work
- Create the playbooks, templates and pipeline reports a growing company runs on
Who we are looking for
We care more about what you have built, sold, or delivered than about years of experience.
Must have
- 2 to 5 years in IT services, system integration, software delivery, technical presales or B2B tech sales
- Working knowledge of software architecture, databases, APIs, and integrations
- Experience managing vendors or projects end-to-end
- A track record of bringing in or closing B2B business
- Clear English and Hindi, and comfortable on client sites and plants
Nice to have
- Experience selling to MSMEs or promoter-led businesses
- Computer vision, CCTV analytics, ANPR, IoT, or dashboards domain knowledge
- Government tender or GeM bidding experience
- Handled manufacturing, food processing, QSR, or industrial clients
- B.E. or B.Tech in CS, IT, or Electronics; an MBA is a plus
Working terms
- Notice period: 30 days at most
- Working days: Monday to Friday, occasionally Saturdays; Sundays off
- Pace: fast-moving, with some days busier than others
- Travel: to client sites a few times a quarter
