Peacock Design Solutions is looking for a talented
Book Illustration Artist to create creative and engaging and visually engaging illustrations for healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device, research, and educational organizations. The ideal candidate should combine strong artistic skills with a solid understanding of storytelling, composition, and visual narrative.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed book illustrations for children's books, novels, educational books, and comics.
- Design book covers, chapter illustrations, and interior layouts.
- Produce character designs, environments, and storyboard illustrations.
- Develop illustrations for concept art and editorial illustrations.
- Create coloring books, activity books, and publishing assets.
- Collaborate with authors, editors, publishers, and designers to ensure scientific accuracy.
- Deliver print-ready and digital artwork in multiple formats.
- Revise artwork based on client and medical expert feedback.
Required Skills
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
- Strong illustration and drawing skills.
- Good understanding of composition, color theory, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to create both vector and raster illustrations.
- High attention to detail and creativity.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in book, children's, educational, or editorial illustration.
- Knowledge of 3D medical visualization using Blender, Maya, or Cinema 4D is an advantage.
- Experience with book publishing or editorial illustration projects.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted illustration workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Fine Arts, Book Illustration, Biomedical Visualization, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of professional illustration experience.
- A strong portfolio showcasing book illustrations.
