About the role:
The BIM Lead is responsible for leading the implementation and management of Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes across projects. This role ensures compliance with BIM standards, drives digital strategy, and facilitates collaboration between design, engineering, and construction teams.
Role Overview
The Lead – BIM will lead and coordinate BIM processes across projects, ensuring compliance with BIM standards, ISO 19650, client requirements, and company standards. The role will drive BIM coordination, digital workflows, multidisciplinary collaboration, and delivery of accurate, coordinated models and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead BIM strategies, workflows, BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), standards, and best practices across projects.
- Develop, coordinate, and maintain BIM models for Infrastructure projects using Revit / Civil 3D.
- Manage federated BIM models, model validation, quality checks, and clash detection using Navisworks.
- Manage the Common Data Environment (CDE), particularly BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), ensuring data integrity, version control, and accurate information exchange.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders and lead BIM coordination meetings and technical issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 19650, BIM protocols, client requirements, and company standards.
- Support quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and 4D/5D BIM integration for project planning and budgeting.
- Facilitate as-built BIM models for handover and commissioning.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and mentoring on BIM tools and workflows.
- Manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines while ensuring BIM quality and delivery.
Skills & Experience
- 12–15 years of overall BIM experience preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360, ACC, and BIM collaboration tools.
- Strong knowledge of BIM standards, ISO 19650, BIM workflows, clash detection, model validation, CDE, and federated models.
- Strong communication, coordination, stakeholder management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree/Masters Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of BIM coordination experience on medium to large-scale projects; 12–15 years of overall BIM experience preferred.
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience with BIM 360/ACC would be an added advantage.
