Company Description Heal and Heed is a rehabilitation center dedicated to holistic child development with a strong, parent-friendly approach. The center provides a range of services, including Occupational Therapy, Behavior Therapy, Special Education, and Speech Therapy. Role Description The Behavior Therapist will work full time on-site at our center in Hyderabad, providing individualized behavioral interventions for children with diverse developmental and behavioral needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing behavioral concerns, developing and implementing behavior intervention plans, and conducting structured therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches. The role involves close collaboration with families, caregivers, and other professionals (such as occupational therapists, special educators, and speech therapists) to ensure coordinated care. The Behavior Therapist will also document progress, prepare reports, participate in case discussions, and contribute to parent training and education. This position requires active engagement in a child-centered, empathetic environment and consistent adherence to the organization’s values and clinical standards.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in behavioral assessment, behavior intervention planning, and implementation of evidence-based behavioral therapies (e.g., ABA, behavior modification).
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, special educators, speech therapists, and caregivers.
- Competence in maintaining clinical documentation, progress notes, and therapy reports with attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Effective communication skills for engaging children and families, providing parent education, and delivering feedback in a clear, empathetic manner.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or a related field; relevant certifications in behavior therapy are an advantage.
- Experience working with children with developmental, behavioral, or learning challenges in clinical, school, or community settings is highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, child safety, and holistic family-centered care.
- Ability to work full time on-site in Hyderabad, with flexibility, patience, and resilience in a dynamic therapeutic environment.
