Role Description The Educational Counselor at ILW will provide individualized guidance to students seeking overseas education options, helping them identify suitable programs, universities, and countries based on their interests, academic background, and career goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, explaining admission and visa processes, supporting test preparation pathways (such as GMAT, GRE, SAT, TOEFL, IELTS), and assisting with applications, documentation, and timelines. The role involves coordinating with internal teams and international institutions, updating students and families on progress, and maintaining accurate student records and follow-up plans. The counselor will also participate in events, seminars, and outreach activities to inform prospective students about study-abroad opportunities. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Educational Consulting and Education, with the ability to understand global academic systems and program structures.
- Experience in Student Counseling and Career Counseling, including guiding students on course selection and long-term career planning.
- Excellent Communication skills, with clear, empathetic, and culturally sensitive interaction with students and families.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Management, or a related field; prior experience in overseas education consulting is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple student cases simultaneously, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfort with using digital tools and CRM systems for tracking student progress and documentation.
- Knowledge of major international study destinations, admission requirements, and standardized tests (GMAT, GRE, SAT, TOEFL, IELTS) is an advantage.
