Role Description The Associate Veterinarian role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality medical care to companion animals, including performing physical examinations, diagnosing conditions, recommending treatment plans, and carrying out routine and advanced procedures. Daily responsibilities include conducting consultations, administering vaccinations and preventive care, performing minor surgeries, interpreting laboratory and diagnostic results, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role also involves communicating clearly with pet caregivers, collaborating with veterinary team members, and supporting client education on animal health, nutrition, and preventive care. The Associate Veterinarian will contribute to a compassionate, efficient clinical environment aligned with VetXplore’s focus on strong teams and excellent pet healthcare experiences.
Qualifications
- Sound clinical veterinary skills, including physical examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, and routine surgical procedures.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and interpreting lab reports, imaging, and other test results.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with pet caregivers and collaborate with the veterinary team.
- Ability to maintain accurate medical records, follow clinical protocols, and uphold high standards of patient safety and ethics.
- Commitment to continuous learning, openness to new clinical practices, and interest in evidence-based veterinary medicine.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution, with valid registration/licensure to practice.
- Experience in small animal practice or companion animal care is preferred; new graduates with strong clinical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to work full-time on site in Bengaluru, with flexibility for rotational shifts and weekend duties as required.
