Role Overview
CarTrade Tech is looking for an Associate Product Manager who can combine strong product thinking with hands-on experience in building or implementing AI / GenAI-powered products and features.
The role will focus on identifying customer and business problems, defining product strategy, and working closely with Engineering, Design, Data and Business teams to build scalable digital products. The ideal candidate should have experience taking products from problem discovery and ideation through execution, launch and continuous improvement, with meaningful exposure to AI-led use cases.
What You'll be doing
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle — from problem identification, customer discovery and product definition to launch, adoption and optimization.
- Develop and manage the product roadmap, prioritising initiatives based on customer impact, business value and technical feasibility.
- Identify opportunities where AI, Generative AI, ML and automation can meaningfully improve customer experience, operational efficiency or business outcomes.
- Translate business and customer problems into clear PRDs, user stories, workflows and product requirements.
- Work closely with Engineering, Design, Data/Analytics and Business teams to build and launch high-quality products.
- Partner with AI/Engineering teams to evaluate and implement solutions involving LLMs, conversational AI, recommendation/personalisation, intelligent search, automation or other AI-led capabilities, depending on the use case.
- Conduct customer research, data analysis and competitor benchmarking to develop a strong understanding of customer needs and market opportunities.
- Define clear KPIs and success metrics and use data to evaluate product adoption, customer behaviour and business impact.
Who we are looking for
- 1 plus years of overall experience, with significant experience in Product Management.
- Demonstrated experience in building or launching AI/ML/GenAI-enabled products, features or customer experiences.
- Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle, including discovery, prioritisation, roadmap creation, execution and experimentation.
- Experience working closely with Engineering, Design and Data teams in an agile environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data, customer insights and business metrics for decision-making.
- Strong problem-solving ability with comfort working on ambiguous and zero-to-one problems.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
- Experience in consumer internet, marketplaces, automotive tech, e-commerce, SaaS or other digital businesses would be preferred.
- Exposure to LLMs, GenAI platforms, conversational AI, recommendation systems, intelligent search or AI-powered automation would be a strong advantage.
- MBA from a reputed institution would be an added advantage.
