About Complyance:
Complyance builds technology that helps businesses manage e-invoicing and regulatory-compliance workflows. Our Delivery team implements API, ERP, file-based and manual-upload e-invoicing solutions for enterprise customers across the UAE. We're looking for an early-career engineer excited about APIs, enterprise systems and financial technology.
About The Role
Join our PMO & Delivery team in Chennai as an Associate Integration Engineer, working closely with a Technical Implementation Consultant to support customer implementations from technical discovery through API/ERP integration, UAT, go-live and hypercare.This is a junior, hands-on technical role for someone with strong software fundamentals who wants to build a career in enterprise integrations and customer-facing delivery. Full-stack or API development exposure is a strong plus.You'll test APIs, validate JSON payloads, document system landscapes, support data mapping, reproduce technical issues and assist customer/ERP teams — plus build and debug APIs in training environments to understand request handling, business logic, databases and error handling end to end. You'll start with structured, reviewed tasks and progressively take on more independent ownership.
What You Will Do
Technical Discovery and Documentation
Support discovery workshops with customer IT, ERP, finance and integration teamsDocument customer systems, current-state flows, meeting notes and action itemsCollect API specs, sample payloads and file formats; maintain project records and diagrams
API Testing and Troubleshooting
Test approved API scenarios in Postman, preparing and validating JSON payloads.Review responses, status codes and error details; reproduce reported issues with logs and evidence.Document expected vs. actual results; escalate unclear or high-risk questions to the TIC
ERP and Data-Mapping Support
Support mapping between customer ERP fields and approved API/file fieldsIdentify missing or inconsistent data and maintain mapping/open-question trackersCoordinate clarifications through the Technical Implementation Consultant and Functional Lead
Impact Assessment And Solution Documentation Support
Assist in preparing Technical Impact Assessments and system-flow diagramsUpdate approved SDD sections and incorporate review comments; maintain version/approval recordsFlag activities inconsistent with approved design
Note: The Solution Architect approves architecture; the TIC owns Impact Assessment and SDD preparation.
Implementation Coordination
Maintain action, dependency, issue and decision trackers; follow up with internal/customer teamsPrepare technical status inputs for meetings; escalate blocked or unclear activities promptly
UAT and Defect Support
Support technical readiness checks and API/payload testing in UATReproduce defects, maintain logs, retest fixes and escalate failed retestsSupport the Implementation Quality Lead without independently approving UAT completion
Go-Live and Hypercare Support
Support go-live checklists and production-readiness/smoke testingMonitor assigned actions during hypercare; maintain known-issue and workaround records Prepare technical handover documentation; escalate production issues immediately
Product and Process Improvement
Record recurring issues and help improve Postman collections, checklists and guidesSuggest improvements to documentation and workflows; support productised tooling in Krato and the Partner Platform.
Required Skills
Foundational understanding of REST APIs, JSON and HTTP; familiarity with PostmanBasic integration/client-server knowledge and ability to read technical documentationStrong attention to detail, troubleshooting and analytical skillsClear communication, task organisation and follow-up disciplineWillingness to learn ERP/finance/e-invoicing concepts and work UAE business hours
Preferred Skills (advantageous, Not Mandatory)
Full-stack or hands-on REST API development experience (JS/TypeScript, Node.js, Python, Java, C#/.NET or similar)Understanding of request handling, validation, business logic, DB operations and error handlingExposure to SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, NetSuite or similar ERP platformsBasic SQL, Git, API authentication (keys/tokens/OAuth) and CSV/XML/data-mapping familiarityExposure to finance, invoicing, tax technology or regulatory technology
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Engineering or related field or equivalent practical/project experienceEarly-career candidates encouraged to apply with strong fundamentals and willingness to learn
Initial Training and Onboarding
Structured onboarding will build end-to-end understanding of APIs and integrations, covering REST/HTTP/JSON fundamentals, requests/responses/auth, validation and error handling, Postman testing, log tracing, SQL basics, retry/idempotency concepts, Git practices and Complyance product/e-invoicing concepts.Practical training may include building a simple API, adding endpoints, implementing validation/error handling, connecting to a training database, debugging intentional issues, tracing a request end to end, and writing Postman tests — all using synthetic data in approved non-production environments.
What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)
Maintain accurate discovery, query, action and defect recordsUse Postman to test documented scenarios and explain the API request/response lifecycleDevelop/debug basic APIs; reproduce and document standard issuesMaintain mapping documents; update approved documentation without unapproved design changesSupport UAT, go-live and hypercare evidence collection and handover documentationRecognise and escalate architecture, regulatory, security and product questions appropriately
How Performance Will Be Measured
Accuracy/completeness of documentation and trackers; quality of issue reproductionTimeliness of task completion and escalation judgementReduction in rework; contribution to UAT/go-live/handover readinessCustomer and internal feedback; completion of learning milestonesAdherence to security/confidentiality requirements
Role Boundaries
As an Associate working under defined supervision, you will not independently:
Approve a Technical Impact Assessment, SDD, or solution architectureMake tax, accounting or regulatory interpretationsCommit to customer scope, timelines, pricing or product changesConfirm product defects or approve UAT/go-liveShare credentials or sensitive customer information through unapproved channels
Information Security And Confidentiality
Use synthetic/approved test data; never store credentials in documents, email or chatUse only approved systems for customer data and evidence; redact sensitive info before sharingFollow least-privilege access; never submit customer payloads or credentials to public AI toolsImmediately report suspected data exposure or unauthorised access
