Role Description The Assistant Vice President Compliance will oversee and manage compliance frameworks for Roha Housing Finance, ensuring adherence to all applicable housing finance regulations and internal policies. This full-time on-site role is based in Ahmedabad and involves monitoring regulatory changes, interpreting their impact on business operations, and updating compliance procedures accordingly. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting compliance reviews, supporting internal audits, assessing risk and control effectiveness, and preparing reports and documentation for senior leadership and regulators. The role will collaborate closely with operations, finance, and risk teams to embed compliance standards into processes, provide training and guidance to staff, and drive continuous improvement in compliance practices. The Assistant Vice President Compliance will also support new product and process initiatives by performing compliance impact assessments and recommending risk mitigation measures.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance within housing finance or broader financial services.
- Solid understanding of Finance and Financial Services operations, products, and processes.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for interpreting regulations, assessing risks, and evaluating control effectiveness.
- Proven experience in compliance or risk roles at a managerial or leadership level, preferably in NBFC/HFC/banking.
- Knowledge of Indian housing finance regulations and guidelines issued by relevant regulatory bodies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for policy drafting, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad, collaborate across teams, and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Finance, Law, Business, or related field; professional certifications in compliance, risk management, or audit are an added advantage.
Preferred candidate profile
- Strong experience in Regulatory Compliance & Corporate Governance.
- Sound understanding of RBI/NHB regulations and the HFC/NBFC regulatory framework.
- Experience in compliance monitoring, regulatory risk assessment, audits, and regulatory reporting.
- Strong analytical, advisory, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with senior leadership and provide practical compliance guidance.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to the BFSI sector.
- Candidates from HFC / NBFC / Banking / BFSI backgrounds will be preferred.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as CA / CS / MBA / LLB will be an added advantage.
