Role Description The Assistant Project Engineer / Project Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore. The role involves supporting the design and engineering of Electrical and HVAC systems for various building projects, preparing design calculations, layouts, and technical drawings, and assisting in the preparation of project specifications and documentation. The position includes coordinating with senior engineers, architects, and project stakeholders to ensure designs meet technical, safety, and regulatory standards, as well as participating in project meetings and site visits to understand requirements and monitor implementation. Daily responsibilities also include reviewing designs for accuracy, contributing to value engineering, and supporting project management activities such as scheduling, reporting, and quality control.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess solid expertise in Electrical Engineering, particularly in power distribution, lighting, and building electrical systems.
- Candidates should possess competencies in Project Management, including planning, coordination, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
- Bachelor’s or diploma degree in Electrical, or related Engineering field from an accredited institution.
- Ability to interpret drawings, technical specifications, and industry standards for building services.
- Proficiency in relevant design and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar), and basic MS Office skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations for Electrical and HVAC systems is an advantage.
