Responsibilities
- MIS & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on CFS operations (yard utilisation, container movement, stuffing/de-stuffing, gate activity).
- Develop dashboards and analytical tools for throughput, dwell time, shipment ageing, revenue trends, and performance KPIs.
- Ensure 100% accuracy in TOS/ERP data entries and system-generated reports.
- Prepare customized reports for customs, shipping lines, CHAs, and management.
- Automate reporting processes using Excel, Power BI, or other analytical tools.
- Business Support
- Support the commercial team with data related to billing, service usage, revenue tracking, and tariff-based reconciliations.
- Analyze customer-wise, vessel-wise, and trade-wise business performance.
- Share insights on volume trends, productivity, operational bottlenecks, and cost optimization opportunities.
- Assist management in decision-making through business analytics and forecasting.
- Support pricing/quotation teams with data on past shipments and customer history.
- Operational Coordination
- Track container inventory, yard utilisation, and cargo movement and communicate updates to operations teams.
- Coordinate with documentation teams for accuracy in IGM, EIR, job orders, DOs, stuffing lists, and EDI files.
- Help monitor vessel schedules, import/export plans, and daily operational activities.
- Act as a data bridge between operations, commercial, and customer service functions.
- System & IT Support
- Provide first-level support for TOS/CFS management systems, handheld devices, and ERP issues.
- Coordinate with IT for system enhancements, troubleshooting, and user permissions.
- Conduct user training for new features, software changes, and reporting tools.
- Compliance, Audit & Documentation
- Maintain accurate digital records for customs audits, internal audits, and statutory compliance.
- Ensure proper archival of reports, operational logs, statutory documents, and EDI exchanges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Business/Statistics/Engineering; MBA preferred.
- 3–8 years of MIS, analytics, or business operations experience (preferably in logistics/3PL).
- Strong expertise in Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Power Query).
- Hands-on experience with Power BI/Tableau or other BI tools.
- Good understanding of operational KPIs, revenue/cost drivers, and logistics processes.
- Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work under tight timelines
