Role Description The Assistant – Maintenance & Support is a full-time, on-site role based at the Akshayakalpa Organic facility in Jadcherla. The role involves supporting day-to-day maintenance activities across equipment and buildings to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations. Responsibilities include performing routine checks, assisting with preventive maintenance schedules, identifying and reporting potential issues, and coordinating with senior maintenance staff and vendors when repairs are required. The assistant will help maintain records of maintenance activities, adhere to safety and hygiene standards, and support production teams by minimizing downtime. This position works closely with operations and facilities teams to uphold the reliability of machinery, utilities, and infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance for dairy processing or industrial equipment.
- Candidates should possess skills in Building Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance to support facility upkeep and safety.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to collaborate effectively with maintenance teams, vendors, and operations staff.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems, with the ability to use common tools and follow technical instructions.
- Attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to follow maintenance schedules and documentation procedures.
- Prior experience in industrial, food processing, or dairy plant maintenance is an advantage.
- Relevant vocational training, ITI, diploma, or certification in maintenance, mechanics, or related fields is preferred.
