About Sustainiam
At Sustainiam, we’re enabling the climate transition through data-backed, tech-enabled sustainability solutions. As a fast-growing climate tech company, we combine environmental expertise with sharp execution to drive results that matter.
About The Role
The AGM/SM – Business Development will lead the go-to-market and revenue growth for Sustainiam's proprietary digital platform. The primary target market includes Independent Power Producers (IPPs), renewable energy generators, and large enterprises with captive power assets capable of generating environmental attributes such as I-RECs and carbon credits. You'll own the full sales cycle, from pipeline generation to deal closure, and be Sustainiam's face across the IPP and enterprise asset-owner ecosystem.
Scope of Work

- Build and manage a strong pipeline across solar, wind, hydro, and biomass segments, including corporate asset owners looking to monetize environmental attributes
- Drive platform adoption to help clients streamline project registration, issuance tracking, billing, reporting, and build a reliable credits supply pipeline
- Conduct product demos tailored to IPP and enterprise workflows, highlighting how the platform simplifies credit generation, supply management, and attribute monetization
- Develop deep relationships with IPP promoters, plant heads, corporate energy/sustainability teams, and compliance officers at asset-owning enterprises
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing Sustainiam clients (I-REC and carbon credit buyers) for platform onboarding
- Develop go-to-market strategies, sales collateral, and pitch decks tailored to both IPP and enterprise asset-owner segments
- Collaborate with the Product team to feed back segment-specific requirements, feature requests, and competitive intel
- Work closely with the CRM team for qualified lead flow and the Farming team for post-sale account management
- Own revenue targets and maintain accurate forecasting in CRM
- Represent Sustainiam at renewable energy, sustainability, and IPP-focused industry events, conferences, and trade expos
- Build strategic partnerships with EPC firms, project developers, and RE consultants to drive adoption across the value chain
Ideal Candidate
- Education: MBA from a Tier-1 or Tier-2 institute (mandatory)
- Experience: 8–12 years in B2B sales or business development, with strong exposure to the IPP/renewable energy sector, enterprise sustainability, energy SaaS, or climate-tech platforms
- Skills: Consultative selling, product storytelling, executive presence, pipeline management, and ability to navigate technical conversations with plant/project and corporate energy teams
- Tools: CRM proficiency (HubSpot/Salesforce/Zoho); comfortable with product demo tools and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
