Role Description The Articled Assistant will support the firm’s audit, taxation, and compliance assignments on a day-to-day basis. Responsibilities include assisting in statutory and tax audits, preparing and reviewing working papers, supporting income tax and GST return filings, and maintaining accounting records and documentation. The role also involves researching tax and regulatory issues, preparing summaries and reports for senior team members, and helping with client communication and follow-ups. This is a full-time on-site role based at the New Delhi head office, offering hands-on exposure to a wide range of industries and professional practices.
Qualifications
- Currently registered as a CA student with ICAI and eligible for articleship, with a strong academic foundation in accounting, taxation, and auditing.
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and standards, including preparation of financial statements and basic bookkeeping.
- Familiarity with Indian Income Tax and GST laws, including return preparation, compliance procedures, and basic tax calculations.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfort with accounting and tax software; ability to learn new tools quickly.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills for interaction with team members and clients.
- Ability to work on-site in New Delhi, manage deadlines, collaborate in a team environment, and maintain professional ethics and confidentiality.
- Prior internship or practical exposure in audit, taxation, or accounting is an advantage but not mandatory.
