Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Articled Assistant role based in New Delhi. The position involves assisting in statutory and tax audits, supporting preparation and review of financial statements, and working on bookkeeping and accounting tasks under supervision. The Articled Assistant will help with tax computations and returns, working papers, documentation, and maintaining audit files. The role also includes coordinating with team members and clients for data collection, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and tax regulations, and contributing to internal process improvements. The position offers structured learning, professional development, and hands-on experience aligned with chartered accountancy training requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and basic auditing concepts.
- Ability to work with spreadsheets and accounting software; familiarity with MS Excel and common ERP or bookkeeping tools.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to interpret financial data accurately.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with internal teams and clients.
- Capability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
- Enrollment in or completion of initial levels of a recognized professional accounting program (e.g., CA Articleship eligibility) is preferred.
- Willingness to learn, follow professional ethics, and adhere to firm policies and regulatory standards.
- Comfort working on-site in New Delhi, with readiness to work extended hours during peak audit or tax periods if required.
