The Gallerist will be the face of the gallery, responsible for engaging clients and collectors through compelling storytelling, showcasing artworks and installations, and building long-term relationships with ultra-HNI patrons.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage collectors, designers, architects, and walk-in visitors with a refined, confident, and warm approach.
- Lead engaging, storytelling-led gallery walkthroughs, communicating the artistic vision, design inspiration, craftsmanship, and significance behind each exhibit.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with collectors, architects, interior designers, and HNI/ultra-HNI clients.
- Maintain impeccable gallery presentation standards, ensuring artworks, installations, lighting, and displays are consistently presented to the highest standards.
- Collaborate closely with the curatorial team to remain aligned with the gallery’s artistic direction and vision.
- Support sales conversations through meaningful engagement, understanding client preferences, and delivering personalized experiences.
- Maintain accurate visitor and client records, manage appointments, and conduct thoughtful follow-ups with prospective collectors.
- Represent the gallery with professionalism and sophistication at exhibitions, private viewings, and client events.
Desired Skill Set
- 1–5 years of relevant experience in art galleries, luxury art, design, or a related field.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Strong interpersonal abilities with the confidence to engage HNI and ultra-HNI clients, collectors, and art patrons.
- Refined aesthetic sensibility with a strong understanding of art, design, architecture, or experiential spaces.
- Confident, polished, articulate, and naturally warm in client interactions.
- Excellent spoken English; knowledge of an additional language is an advantage.
- Professional, dependable, well-presented, and passionate about art, design, and experiential environments.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to create a sophisticated, welcoming, and memorable gallery experience
