Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Architect role based at the PraJc studio in Kochi. The Architect will be responsible for developing architectural concepts, preparing design proposals, and producing detailed drawings and specifications for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. Daily tasks include collaborating with the design team, coordinating with consultants and contractors, conducting site visits, and ensuring that designs align with PraJc’s philosophy of simplicity, happiness, and storytelling. The role involves managing project timelines, monitoring design quality through all phases, and integrating client feedback into evolving design solutions. The Architect will also support documentation, presentation materials, and participation in client meetings and design reviews.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Architecture and Architectural Design, including concept development, space planning, and detailing.
- Candidates should possess skills in Project Management, such as coordinating stakeholders, managing timelines, and overseeing project deliverables.
- Candidates should possess skills in Software Development and Integration only as relevant to architectural workflows, such as integrating design tools or digital systems into project processes.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and basic understanding of building codes and regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture from an accredited institution and eligibility to work in Kochi.
- Strong visual communication, presentation, and documentation skills, along with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to collaborate in a studio environment, communicate clearly with clients and partners, and adapt to evolving project narratives.
- Prior experience in residential, commercial, or hospitality projects is beneficial; portfolio demonstrating design thinking and built or conceptual work is preferred.
