Role Description The Senior Project Architect is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi, responsible for leading the design and technical development of complex architectural projects. This position oversees project documentation, coordinates with internal teams and external consultants, and ensures that design intent is accurately translated into construction documents and submittals. Day-to-day tasks include guiding BIM model production, reviewing drawings and specifications, managing design revisions, and supporting compliance with applicable codes and sustainability standards. The Senior Project Architect will mentor team members, participate in client meetings, and collaborate with project managers to align schedules, budgets, and deliverables. The role requires proactive problem-solving, clear communication, and consistent attention to quality throughout all project phases.
Qualifications
- Strong architectural design and technical skills, with proven experience in Architecture and project documentation across multiple phases.
- Demonstrated ability to manage Submittals, including review, coordination, and communication with contractors and consultants.
- Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows, with experience leading BIM-based design and documentation processes.
- Knowledge of sustainability standards and frameworks, including Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) or comparable certifications.
- Solid Project Management capabilities, including planning, coordination, schedule management, and risk mitigation for multi-disciplinary teams.
- Professional degree in Architecture and registration/licensure (or eligibility) preferred.
- Experience delivering medium to large-scale projects, ideally within multi-disciplinary or international design practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior staff and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and construction practices in Kochi and the broader region is an advantage.
