Company Description
AR Consultants is a growing property acquisition and development consultancy focused on identifying, acquiring and developing commercial real estate opportunities across Australia, including motels, service stations, hospitality assets and other commercial developments.
We are looking for a talented and motivated Architect / Architectural Designer to join our team and work closely with our Project Manager across various commercial development projects.
You will contribute to projects from initial feasibility and concept design through design development, approvals, documentation and construction coordination. This role is suited to someone who combines strong design capability with practical thinking and enjoys working on commercially driven development projects.
Location: Remote
Working Hours: Australian Business Hours
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare concept designs, architectural drawings and detailed documentation using AutoCAD and SketchUp.
- Assist with site planning, feasibility studies, floor plans, elevations, sections and development layouts.
- Work closely with the Project Manager from concept design through to project delivery.
- Assist with Development Application and planning documentation.
- Coordinate remotely with town planners, engineers, surveyors, builders, certifiers and other consultants.
- Prepare professional architectural presentations and visualisations.
- Assist in resolving architectural and technical issues throughout the development process.
What you’ll bring:
• Minimum 1 year of architectural experience.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Strong architectural design, technical documentation and presentation skills.
• Experience or confidence working on large-scale and complex developments.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a remote working environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote working setup.
• Candidates must be available to work predominantly within Australian business hours / Australian time zones.
• Strong willingness to learn Australian construction standards, NCC/BCA requirements, planning controls and development processes.
• Graduates from reputed schools of architecture with an outstanding portfolio are highly encouraged to apply.
