About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Insurance Analytics Consulting Leader to drive strategic consulting engagements, insurance analytics initiatives, and AI-led business transformation for global insurance clients.
The ideal candidate will combine deep insurance domain expertise with a strong understanding of data engineering, data science, AI/ML, Generative AI, and digital transformation. This role requires the ability to translate complex insurance business challenges into scalable, data-driven solutions while engaging with senior client stakeholders across business, operations, claims, actuarial, technology, and analytics functions.
The leader will be responsible for strategic account management, new business development, account growth, consulting delivery, and building high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Insurance Domain Expertise: Demonstrate a strong understanding of insurance business models, operating structures, value drivers, products, and end-to-end processes across the insurance value chain.
- Insurance Operations: Understand core processes spanning sales, enrollment, eligibility, underwriting, policy issuance, premium collection, claims processing, customer servicing, and renewals.
- Product & Functional Knowledge: Bring exposure to Life Insurance, Group Insurance, Supplemental Benefits, Disability Insurance, and Absence & Leave Management. Knowledge of short- and long-term disability, wage replacement, return-to-work journeys, and employee benefits is preferred.
- Data & Analytics Transformation: Translate business challenges into descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics solutions across claims, underwriting, customer operations, policy servicing, distribution, and risk management.
- Technology & AI Strategy: Understand modern data engineering, data science, AI/ML, Generative AI, workflow automation, and digital product platforms, translating technology capabilities into measurable business outcomes.
- Strategic Client Engagement: Partner with senior client stakeholders to identify business opportunities, define analytics use cases, shape transformation roadmaps, and drive enterprise-wide adoption of data-driven solutions.
- Business Development & Account Growth: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and business development teams to develop go-to-market strategies, contribute to proposals and proof of concepts (POVs), identify new opportunities, and expand strategic accounts.
- Consulting & Delivery Leadership: Oversee consulting engagements, transformation programs, and solution delivery across multiple accounts, stakeholders, and geographies in a matrix environment.
- Change Management: Drive organizational change and stakeholder buy-in across business, operations, claims, actuarial, technology, and analytics teams.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop consulting teams and subject matter experts, fostering collaboration, innovation, and execution excellence.
- Industry & Thought Leadership: Track insurance industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies; contribute to thought leadership through industry events, executive forums, and client presentations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
- 10–15 years of experience in insurance consulting, analytics consulting, AI/ML transformation, or data-driven business consulting.
- Strong insurance domain expertise, preferably across Disability, Life, Group Insurance, Supplemental Benefits, or related employee benefits.
- Proven experience engaging senior client stakeholders and driving strategic consulting or analytics-led transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of at least one or more areas: Data Engineering, Data Science, AI/ML, Generative AI, digital product development, or technology consulting.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic account management, pre-sales, business development, consulting delivery, or account growth.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong executive communication, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation skills.
- Ability to connect insurance business priorities with analytical approaches and scalable technology solutions.
- Experience managing global teams, complex client engagements, and cross-functional transformation initiatives.
- Exposure to claims analytics, customer analytics, risk analytics, modern data platforms, and AI-driven insurance transformation.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced consulting environment with a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset.
