Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional for the role of Analyst – Investment Sales. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Multifamily Markets and underwriting, with strong expertise in financial analysis, market research, and real estate investment evaluation. This role involves supporting stakeholders throughout the complete Broker Opinion of Value (BOV) process, along with conducting financial and operational analysis for multifamily.
Responsibilities
- Perform underwriting and financial analysis for multifamily investment sales transactions Conduct detailed cash flow analysis, valuation analysis, and investment return calculations
- Analyze financial statements including operating statements, rent rolls, and property-level reports across various property types
- Support stakeholders throughout the complete Broker Opinion of Value (BOV) process
- Conduct market research and competitive market analysis for multifamily properties
- Perform real estate tax analysis and evaluate property operating performance
- Prepare financial models, investment summaries, and underwriting presentations
- Conduct sensitivity analysis to assess investment risks and returns
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of analysis
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial and market analysis
Qualifications
- 4–5 years of full-time experience in Multifamily Markets and underwriting
- Strong understanding of: Multifamily real estate market fundamentals
- Financial and cash flow analysis
- Real estate valuation and underwriting concepts
- Broker Opinion of Value (BOV) process
- Ability to interpret financial statements, operating statements, and rent rolls
- Proficiency in financial modeling and Excel
- Experience with market research, investment analysis, and valuation techniques
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders
