About the Role
UDIT is looking for a dynamic and relationship-driven Manager – Alumni Relations to build, strengthen, and manage a vibrant alumni community. The role will be responsible for developing meaningful and sustained engagement with alumni, fostering a strong sense of institutional connection, and creating opportunities for alumni to contribute to and grow with the university.
The ideal candidate will have strong relationship-building, communication, community engagement, and programme management skills, with the ability to translate alumni engagement into long-term institutional value.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to strengthen alumni engagement and foster a connected alumni community.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with alumni across programmes, graduating cohorts, and professional sectors.
- Plan and execute alumni events, networking programmes, reunions, talks, mentorship initiatives, and engagement activities.
- Develop and manage regular alumni communications across relevant platforms, ensuring consistent and meaningful engagement.
- Maintain and continuously update the alumni database, ensuring accurate records and effective segmentation for targeted outreach.
- Identify opportunities to involve alumni in mentorship, guest lectures, industry interactions, student engagement, placements, and institutional initiatives.
- Collaborate with academic, admissions, career services, marketing, communications, and other internal teams to create meaningful alumni-led opportunities.
- Identify and showcase alumni achievements, career journeys, success stories, and contributions to strengthen the university's alumni brand.
- Develop initiatives to increase alumni participation, volunteerism, and long-term engagement with the institution.
- Track alumni engagement activities, participation, and outcomes, and provide regular reports and insights to leadership.
- Explore opportunities to build alumni networks, chapters, partnerships, and communities across geographies and professional domains.
- Support the development of an alumni ecosystem that contributes to the university's institutional growth, reputation, industry connect, and community building.
What We’re Looking For
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in alumni relations, community engagement, institutional relations, stakeholder management, or similar roles.
- Strong experience in building and managing professional networks and communities.
- Proven experience in event planning, programme management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills with a demonstrated ability to build trust and long-term connections.
- Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and engage senior stakeholders effectively.
- A proactive, resourceful, and execution-oriented approach with the ability to take initiatives from concept to completion.
- Experience in an educational institution, university, professional association, or community-driven organisation would be an advantage.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline is required.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
