Job details:
Lead the AI platform for Yoxa- a startup within YUJ, an established design and technology company. No compensation ceiling for the right candidate.
> Before You Apply
We’re looking for a specific combination:
Strong Engineering + Agentic AI + Product Thinking + High Agency & Fast Learning
Please read the role carefully and apply if this is genuinely the kind of challenge and ownership you’re looking for.
> About Yoxa
- Yoxa is an AI-native enterprise platform being built within YUJ Designs, an established design and technology company.
- Yoxa enables enterprises to design AI-powered systems where people, AI agents, knowledge, and business tools work together to get complex work done.
- It combines the speed and ownership of a startup team with YUJ’s experience in enterprise product design, UX, and human-centered systems thinking.
> The Opportunity
Yoxa is exploring a bigger question:
"How do we reimagine the way work gets done when AI agents become part of the team?"
- We’re not building another chatbot, RAG application, or one-off AI automation.
- We’re building a domain-agnostic platform for AI-native enterprise systems - where humans, agents, knowledge, and enterprise tools work together.
As AI Platform Lead, you’ll work hands-on with a small team across business, product, architecture, engineering, and technical direction.
> What We’re Looking For
Experience: 4+ years of technical leadership experience preferred, but evidence of capability and ownership matter more than exact years of experience.
1. Strong Technical Foundation
- Strong hands-on Python + backend/API engineering
- Software/product development fundamentals
- Full-stack & system architecture
- Databases, cloud & deployment
- Production software lifecycle
- LLMs, RAG & agentic systems
- System design & architectural trade-offs
Our environment includes Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, React/Next.js, LLM APIs, vector retrieval, and agent orchestration.
2. Product Thinking
You can naturally connect and think through:
"Business → User → UX → Product → AI → Architecture → Engineering → Production"
You don’t need to be a PM or designer. But you should think about what we’re building, who it’s for, and why before jumping into implementation.
3. High Agency + Fast Learning
When given an ambiguous problem, you’re comfortable creating your own path forward:
"Understand → Ask the Right Questions → Form an Approach → Decide → Build → Learn → Adapt"
- The product, technology, and customer understanding will change quickly. You should be comfortable making progress without waiting for perfect requirements.
- Startup experience is preferred, especially where you’ve worked across boundaries and taken ownership beyond your assigned component.
Why This Role Is Different
- Reimagine work, not just automate it: explore what enterprise systems should become with AI agents.
- Build the platform, not one workflow: solve reusable, scalable, and secure enterprise AI problems.
- Design-led engineering: work across Systems Thinking, UX, Human Factors, Product, and Engineering.
- Startup inside an established company - small-team speed and ownership with YUJ behind you.
Probably Not the Right Fit If…
- Your GenAI experience is mainly simple RAG, document Q&A, chatbots, or prompting.
- You’re primarily an ML/Data Science engineer without strong software product engineering.
- You use agent frameworks without understanding the mechanics underneath them.
- You prefer well-defined implementation tasks over ambiguous product/system problems.
- You’re looking for an architecture role that isn’t hands-on.
