Role Description As an ADAS Engineer at Wintel Ltd, you will in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design, development, and validation of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems for automotive applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, design algorithms, and integrate sensors such as cameras, radar, and lidar into vehicle platforms. Daily activities include modeling and simulation, configuring and tuning ADAS features, troubleshooting issues, and refining system performance based on test data and feedback. You will support hardware-in-the-loop and vehicle-level testing, analyze results, and document findings to ensure compliance with safety and industry standards. The role also involves close coordination with project managers, software developers, and test engineers to deliver robust ADAS solutions on schedule.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in automotive engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field, supported by a bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Experience with ADAS or automotive embedded systems, including system integration, requirements definition, and performance validation.
- Proficiency with modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink or similar) and familiarity with sensor technologies and control algorithms.
- Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols and standards (e.g., CAN, LIN, or similar), and basic understanding of functional safety concepts.
- Ability to work on-site in Portsmouth, collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to testing, documentation, and continuous improvement.
- Prior experience in automotive R&D, ADAS development, or related domains is beneficial; exposure to industry regulations and homologation processes is an advantage.
