Role Description The Erection Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in India, responsible for overseeing the erection and installation of pre-engineered buildings and industrial steel structures at project sites. This role includes planning and supervising erection activities, coordinating with design, fabrication, and project management teams, and ensuring structures are assembled according to engineering specifications and safety standards. The Erection Engineer monitors daily site progress, manages site teams and contractors, conducts inspections and quality checks, and resolves technical issues during installation. The role also involves preparing site reports, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company procedures, and supporting timely, cost-effective project delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of steel structures, PEB systems, and industrial building erection methods.
- Experience in site supervision, construction planning, and coordination of erection activities.
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, fabrication details, and engineering documents.
- Proficiency in basic engineering and construction software tools (e.g., MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD or similar is an advantage).
- Sound understanding of safety standards, quality control procedures, and relevant Indian construction codes.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience in PEB, industrial steel structures, or large industrial/commercial projects is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to make practical decisions on-site.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams, contractors, and clients.
- Willingness to travel to project locations and work in field conditions as required.
