Role Description This full-time, on-site Accountant role is based in Ludhiana and focuses on day-to-day financial operations for client organizations. Responsibilities include maintaining ledgers, recording daily transactions, reconciling bank statements, and preparing financial reports and summaries. The role involves supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, assisting with budgeting, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. The Accountant will handle accounts payable and receivable, review invoices and expense claims, and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, such as auditors and banks. This position requires attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to improving financial processes and controls.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools (e.g., Tally, ERP systems, Excel) and comfort working with digital records and spreadsheets.
- Experience managing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Ability to support budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of financial data for decision-making.
- Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Clear, professional communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, clients, auditors, and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within sectors such as fintech, banking, textiles, or IT, is beneficial.
