Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Haldwani. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, ledger postings, and expense tracking. The role includes preparing and reviewing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end closing, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports. The Accountant will ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and local tax regulations, help monitor budgets and cash flow, and coordinate with internal teams and external auditors as needed. The position also involves maintaining organized documentation, using accounting software for data entry and reporting, and contributing to process improvements in the finance function.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and bookkeeping, with experience handling general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Proficiency in accounting and ERP software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar), as well as solid skills in MS Excel and other office tools for financial analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of taxation, statutory compliance, and regulatory requirements relevant to the power, infrastructure, or services sector, including familiarity with audits and documentation.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills, and the ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines in a dynamic operational environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with operations, project, and management teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CA/ICWA intermediate or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience as an Accountant or in a similar finance role, ideally within energy, engineering, infrastructure, or service-oriented organizations.
