Role Description The Accountant role at Masakali India is a full-time, on-site position based in Surat. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including bookkeeping, general ledger entries, and reconciliation of accounts. Day-to-day tasks include preparing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, tracking inventory-related costs, and assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. The role also involves supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations, and coordinating with internal teams and external auditors as needed. The Accountant will work closely with management to provide financial insights that support decision-making and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, and general ledger management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools (e.g., Tally, ERP systems, Excel) and comfort with digital record-keeping.
- Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking transactions, and reconciliations.
- Understanding of Indian taxation, GST, and compliance requirements relevant to manufacturing and D2C businesses.
- Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and cost reports to support business decisions.
- Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in the apparel, retail, or manufacturing sector is beneficial.
