Role Description The ABM (Assistant Branch Manager) role at HDFC Life is a full-time, on-site position based in Dahod. The role involves supporting branch business growth by driving sales of life insurance products, guiding and mentoring the branch sales team, and ensuring achievement of targets across protection, savings, and investment solutions. The ABM is responsible for managing daily branch operations, overseeing customer onboarding, and maintaining high standards of service and compliance. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring performance metrics, coordinating with Financial Consultants, organizing local marketing and customer engagement initiatives, and preparing reports for branch leadership. The role also requires maintaining adherence to regulatory guidelines, company policies, and quality standards while fostering a collaborative and performance-oriented branch culture.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong sales and business development skills, including target achievement, pipeline management, and customer acquisition.
- Candidates should possess customer relationship and service skills, such as client communication, needs analysis, and handling queries and concerns professionally.
- Candidates should possess team leadership and people management skills, including coaching, performance monitoring, and motivation of sales staff or Financial Consultants.
- Candidates should possess operational and compliance skills, including attention to detail, process adherence, and understanding of basic regulatory requirements in financial services.
- Candidates should possess analytical and reporting skills, including comfort with data, MIS reports, and use of basic digital tools or CRM systems.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field are preferred; prior experience in insurance or financial services will be an advantage.
- Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, local market awareness, and the ability to work on-site in Dahod with a results-oriented mindset.
