Role Description The 3D & VFX Compositor will be responsible for integrating 3D renders, live-action footage, and digital elements to create polished final shots for film, television, and digital media projects. Day-to-day tasks include compositing layers, refining lighting and color, adding visual effects, and ensuring continuity across sequences according to project guidelines and client feedback. The role involves close collaboration with 3D artists, animators, and supervisors to troubleshoot technical issues, maintain visual consistency, and meet production timelines. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Kochi, requiring active participation in studio reviews, feedback sessions, and team-based workflows.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in compositing software (e.g., Nuke, After Effects, Fusion) and familiarity with industry-standard VFX pipelines.
- Experience working with 3D tools (e.g., Maya, Blender, 3ds Max) and integrating 3D passes such as lighting, shadows, reflections, and depth.
- Solid understanding of color correction, keying, rotoscoping, tracking, and matte creation for high-quality visual effects work.
- Knowledge of rendering processes, multi-pass workflows, and optimization for efficient production delivery.
- Strong artistic eye for composition, lighting, and visual storytelling, with attention to detail and realism.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a studio environment, communicate clearly, and respond constructively to feedback.
- Relevant education in animation, VFX, multimedia, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous experience in a VFX or animation studio environment and a portfolio or showreel demonstrating compositing work.
