Job Description:
- We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Specialist with strong expertise across z/OS systems, CICS/MQ administration, and storage management.
- Manage and support IBM z/OS operating system, including Parallel Sysplex, JES2/JES3, SMP/E, TSO, RACF, and z/OS USS environments.
- Perform CICS administration including region builds, CICSPlex, version upgrades/migration, and resource definitions (online and batch).
- Administer MQ on z/OS including product upgrades, MQ sharing, region builds, and CICS-MQ intercommunication setup.
- Implement and maintain DFSMS, DFSMShsm for automated backup/migration, and DFSMSdss for DASD volume dump/restore operations.
- Support advanced copy services including PPRC, XRC, Flashcopy, Metro Mirror, and GDPS for disaster recovery and data replication.
- Install, customize, and maintain ISV software products using SMP/E, and troubleshoot installation/configuration issues.
- Manage catalogs, PARMLIB updates, mainframe LPAR builds, and communications protocols (VTAM, TCP/IP, FTP).
- Perform security administration, performance monitoring/tuning, and troubleshoot system abends across CICS, MQ, and z/OS layers.
- Provide 24x7 production support, mentor junior team members, and maintain detailed technical documentation for all platform activities.
