Role Description The Junior Interior Designer will support the design team in developing interior concepts, layouts, and detailed drawings for a variety of project types. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with space planning, preparing construction and presentation drawings, coordinating FF&E selections, and helping compile mood boards and material palettes. The role also involves collaborating with senior designers and architects, participating in client presentations, and liaising with vendors and contractors under guidance. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Surat, requiring regular presence at the studio and project sites.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Interior Design and Architecture, with an understanding of design principles and building basics.
- Candidates should possess skills in Space Planning to develop functional layouts and optimize the use of interior areas.
- Candidates should possess skills in Construction Drawings to assist in producing accurate plans, sections, and details.
- Candidates should possess skills in FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) selection and coordination, including finishes and materials.
- Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) is beneficial.
- A diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong visual communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow design direction are important.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Surat, manage multiple tasks, and meet project deadlines.
