Role Description The Senior Java Developer (Fintech) will work on designing, developing, and maintaining robust Java-based applications and services for financial technology solutions. This full-time hybrid role is based in the Greater Bengaluru Area, with a mix of on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, building and integrating microservices, implementing features using the Spring Framework, and ensuring system performance, scalability, and security. The role also involves participating in code reviews, collaborating with product and QA teams, troubleshooting production issues, and contributing to technical design and architectural decisions. The developer will be expected to follow best practices, maintain documentation, and support continuous improvement of development processes.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Java and general Programming skills, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Hands-on Software Development experience, including end-to-end application lifecycle management in a fintech or related domain.
- Practical experience with Microservices architecture, including design, implementation, and integration of distributed services.
- In-depth knowledge of the Spring Framework (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data) for building enterprise-grade applications.
- Understanding of financial systems, APIs, and integration patterns; experience with RESTful services and JSON is an advantage.
- Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases, version control (e.g., Git), and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Ability to work in hybrid teams, communicate clearly, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in an agile environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in fintech, banking, or payments platforms, along with a strong focus on security, performance, and regulatory compliance, is highly desirable.
