About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Forescout L2 Engineer to join our Cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Forescout CounterACT/NAC and be capable of supporting day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, policy management, and customer environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support Forescout CounterACT/NAC infrastructure.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Forescout policies.
- Perform onboarding and troubleshooting of endpoints.
- Support 802.1X (IEEE 802.1X) wired and wireless authentication deployments.
- Troubleshoot RADIUS authentication issues involving Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, and other network devices.
- Configure and support dynamic VLAN assignment and NAC enforcement policies.
- Monitor appliance health, services, and system performance.
- Investigate endpoint visibility and classification issues.
- Support integrations with Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, SIEM, EDR, and other security platforms.
- Perform software upgrades, backups, and health checks.
- Analyze logs and troubleshoot communication issues between switches, wireless controllers, RADIUS servers, and Forescout appliances.
- Coordinate with customer IT and network teams during incidents and changes.
- Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and implementation reports.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Forescout CounterACT/NAC.
- Understanding of Forescout policies, policy creation, classification, and enforcement.
- Good knowledge of RADIUS authentication and authorization.
- Hands-on experience with IEEE 802.1X (wired and wireless).
- Understanding of MAC Authentication Bypass (MAB).
- Knowledge of Cisco, Aruba, or other enterprise switching environments.
- Understanding of VLANs, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, TCP/IP, and network fundamentals.
- Experience troubleshooting endpoint authentication and connectivity issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant cybersecurity or networking certifications are an advantage (e.g., Forescout Certified Administrator, CCNA, Security+, or similar).
