DevOps Engineer - Freelancer
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer freelancer who can take ownership of our cloud infrastructure, deployment processes, server management, monitoring, security, and overall system reliability.
Key Responsibilities;
- Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure, including EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, Route 53, IAM, etc.
- Configure and maintain Linux servers and cloud environments.
- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments.
- Deploy and manage applications across development, staging, and production environments.
- Work with developers to resolve deployment, server, and infrastructure issues.
- Implement Docker/containerization where required.
- Monitor server performance, application health, logs, uptime, and resource utilization.
- Manage SSL certificates, domains, DNS, backups, and security configurations.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Implement infrastructure automation and improve deployment efficiency.
- Maintain proper documentation of infrastructure, configurations, and deployment procedures.
- Ensure appropriate security, backup, disaster-recovery, and access-control practices.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of hands-on DevOps experience.
- Strong knowledge of AWS.
- Good Linux administration skills.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Good understanding of Docker and containerization.
- Strong knowledge of Git and version control.
- Understanding of networking, DNS, SSL, firewalls, and cloud security.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
- Basic scripting knowledge in Bash/Python.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot production infrastructure.
Preferred
- Kubernetes knowledge.
- Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code experience.
- Experience managing production applications with high availability and scalability requirements.
- Experience working with mobile-app/API-based platforms.
