Role Description This is a freelance manual Jewellery Designer role based in Mumbai. The Jewellery Designer will develop original design concepts for fine and fashion jewelry, create detailed sketches and CAD models, and refine designs based on feedback from internal stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing technical drawings and specifications for production, collaborating with artisans and manufacturers to ensure design feasibility and quality, and researching trends, materials, and consumer preferences to inform new collections. The role also involves maintaining design libraries, meeting collection timelines, and supporting marketing and merchandising teams with design inputs and visual assets.
Qualifications
- Strong Jewelry Design skills with the ability to create innovative, market-relevant concepts.
- Proficiency in Drawing and illustration for translating ideas into clear design sketches.
- Experience designing Fashion Jewelry and awareness of current style and market trends.
- Background in Product Design, including understanding of materials, ergonomics, and manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for jewelry (e.g., Rhino, Matrix, or similar software).
- Diploma or degree in Jewelry Design, Product Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, color, and form, with good visualization and aesthetic judgment.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple design projects.
- Portfolio demonstrating original jewelry designs and CAD work; experience with precious metals and gemstones is an advantage.
