Role Description The Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and refining mechanical and electrical designs for industrial equipment, ensuring functionality, safety, and manufacturability. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating CAD models and engineering drawings, performing design calculations, and collaborating with production, quality, and procurement teams to support fabrication and assembly. The role also involves reviewing customer specifications, participating in design reviews, and providing technical support during testing, installation, and troubleshooting. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, requiring close coordination with shop-floor and project teams to deliver robust, timely design solutions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering and Product Design skills for industrial and equipment applications.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering expertise, including fundamentals of materials, manufacturing processes, and machine design.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
- Candidates should possess basic to intermediate Electrical Engineering knowledge relevant to equipment design and integration.
- Relevant skills such as engineering drawing interpretation, tolerance analysis, and familiarity with industry standards are beneficial.
- A diploma or degree in Mechanical, Production, or related Engineering discipline is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work on-site in a collaborative, cross-functional environment are essential.
