About Us
DoDelta Ventures Pvt. Ltd., operating as 3Deometry Innovations, is a Pune-based engineering firm specialising in VMC (Vertical Machining Centre) precision machining and additive manufacturing. We design and build custom mechanical and automation systems end-to-end — from concept and CAD through to in-house prototyping and production. We're looking for a Robotics Design Engineer to help us design the next generation of robotic and automation hardware.
Role Overview
You will own the mechanical design of robotic systems, automation fixtures, and motion assemblies — taking projects from concept sketches to manufacturable, tested hardware. You'll work closely with our machining and additive manufacturing teams, so your designs move quickly from screen to shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
👉Design robotic assemblies, end-effectors, jigs, fixtures, and motion mechanisms using 3D CAD.
👉Produce detailed manufacturing drawings with correct GD&T, tolerances, and fits for VMC machining and 3D-printed parts.
Select actuators, motors, bearings, linear guides, gears, and drive components, and size them for the application.
👉Build and iterate on prototypes in-house, then test, troubleshoot, and refine designs.
👉Collaborate with electronics/controls and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and manufacturable.
👉Maintain a clean BOM, part numbering, and design documentation.
👉Support DFM (Design for Manufacturing) reviews with the machining and additive teams.
Required
Qualifications
👉Bachelor's degree (or diploma) in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related engineering field.
👉1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical/robotic/product design.
👉Proficiency in at least one 3D CAD tool (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Creo, or similar).
👉Solid grasp of GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and engineering drawing standards.
👉Understanding of manufacturing processes — CNC/VMC machining, 3D printing, sheet metal, or fabrication.
👉Working knowledge of mechanisms, power transmission, and actuator/motor selection.
Nice to Have
👉Exposure to robotics kinematics, motion control, or automation systems.
👉Familiarity with FEA / basic structural or thermal simulation.
👉Experience designing for additive manufacturing (FDM/SLA/SLS).
👉Basic understanding of electronics, sensors, or embedded/microcontroller integration.
👉Hands-on prototyping and assembly experience.
