Role Description The Furniture Interior Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India. The role involves designing furniture layouts, planning interior spaces, and developing concepts that align with client requirements and project budgets. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating drawings, coordinating FF&E selections, preparing mood boards and material palettes, and collaborating with architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure accurate execution on site. The designer will participate in client meetings, conduct site visits and measurements, and revise designs based on feedback and project constraints. The role also requires adherence to safety standards, timelines, and quality benchmarks while maintaining clear documentation for all design and project stages.
Qualifications
- Ability to plan and organize interior spaces effectively, including strong skills in Space Planning and Interior Design.
- Knowledge of Architecture principles and experience working with Construction Drawings for accurate implementation on site.
- Experience with FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) selection, specification, and coordination with vendors and suppliers.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic familiarity with 3D visualization tools.
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, along with relevant project or internship experience.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage client expectations.
- Attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of local materials, finishes, and furniture manufacturing processes in the Delhi/NCR market is an advantage.
