Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve revenue, volume, and market share objectives.
- Identify and incubate emerging channels and build partnerships beyond traditional customer segments.
- Expand relationships with key customers, industry stakeholders, and strategic partners.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and regulatory developments to inform growth strategies.
- Collaborate with global business development teams to identify and evaluate acquisition targets, distributors, strategic alliances, and partnership opportunities across India and the region.
- Conduct market mapping, commercial assessments, and strategic fit analyses for potential M&A opportunities.
- Support due diligence activities across commercial, financial, legal, and operational workstreams.
- Assist in post-acquisition integration planning to ensure seamless execution and value realization.
- Drive both organic and inorganic growth initiatives aligned with the organization's long-term strategic objectives.
This role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence the company's growth agenda through strategic business development, partnerships, and M&A initiatives.
Skills and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Life Sciences, Dental Technology, or a related field (MBA/Finance specialization preferred).
- MBA (preferred) from a top institution such as IIMs, ISB, leading international business schools, or equivalent.
- 6-10 years of experience in business development, sales, strategic partnerships, corporate strategy, or related functions within medical devices, dental healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare services.
- Exposure to M&A, corporate strategy, investment evaluation, or transaction-related projects through direct ownership or active participation.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to evaluate business cases, investment opportunities, and market dynamics.
- Excellent stakeholder management, relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks applicable to medical devices and healthcare businesses.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms, financial modeling, market analysis, and business intelligence tools is preferred.
