Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Head of Architecture & Technical Delivery to serve as the independent technical authority across our AI product portfolio. This role is responsible for defining scalable architecture, ensuring engineering quality, and governing technical readiness for product launches.
While Product Engineering Leads manage day-to-day development, you will own architecture standards, cross-team technical governance, and the final technical sign-off before products go to market.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture (40%)
- Define scalable architecture for AI SaaS products and the shared platform.
- Design reusable foundations including authentication, multi-tenancy, billing, APIs, data architecture, and AI/LLM integration patterns.
- Drive technology selection and build-vs-buy decisions.
- Establish enterprise integration standards, including SSO, security, GDPR, and data residency.
- Conduct architecture reviews to ensure consistency across engineering teams.
Technical Delivery & Launch Governance (40%)
- Own the technical "Definition of Done" for every product launch.
- Validate code quality, testing, performance, security, AI evaluation, and production readiness.
- Review staging environments and independently verify engineering progress.
- Provide the final technical approval before product releases.
- Resolve cross-team architectural and technical challenges.
Engineering Leadership (20%)
- Mentor Engineering Leads and support technical decision-making.
- Help define engineering hiring standards and participate in technical interviews.
- Advise leadership on delivery timelines, technical risks, and architecture strategy.
Required Skills & Experience
- 12+ years of software engineering experience with strong architecture leadership.
- Proven experience delivering multiple SaaS products from development to production.
- Experience leading or governing multiple engineering teams (15+ engineers).
- Strong expertise in TypeScript, React, Node.js and/or Python, PostgreSQL, AWS/GCP, CI/CD, and multi-tenant SaaS architecture.
- Hands-on experience with AI/LLM technologies, including RAG, LLM evaluation, prompt engineering, and performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of API design, enterprise integrations, security, and scalable cloud architecture.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in AI, Market Research, Analytics, or Survey Platforms.
- Experience working in startup or founder-led environments.
- Knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and other security/compliance frameworks.
