Role Description The Wind Analyst role at Tawanai is a full-time, on-site position based in New Delhi. In this role, the Wind Analyst will analyze wind resource data, perform energy yield assessments, and support site selection for wind projects. The position involves preparing technical reports, visualizations, and presentations to communicate findings to project teams and clients. The Wind Analyst will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and data specialists to validate models, refine assumptions, and optimize operational performance. Additional responsibilities may include maintaining data quality, contributing to tool and model development, and supporting due diligence for new and ongoing projects.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis, data visualization, and interpretation of large datasets.
- Experience with wind resource assessment tools, modeling software, and GIS platforms for site screening and energy yield estimation.
- Familiarity with renewable energy project development processes, including feasibility studies, due diligence, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in relevant programming or scripting languages (such as Python, R, or MATLAB) and comfort working with cloud-based data tools.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear technical reports and present findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, atmospheric science, physics, data science, or a related technical discipline.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site in New Delhi, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
- Prior experience in wind energy or broader renewable energy analytics is preferred but not required; a strong interest in clean energy and sustainability is beneficial.
