As a manager at Global Payments, you will take ownership for the delivery of business critical products. We are looking for someone to manage a delivery team that can lead innovation, drive improvements, set technical direction, and consistently meet the needs of the business.
You will:
- Manage technical talent acquisition, growth and retention
- Work with product and key stakeholders to set desired product roadmaps
- Drive critical improvements to stay ahead of the growing business needs
- Evaluate new technologies and delivery practices
- Drive accurate and efficient project estimates
- Create project plans, identify dependencies and risks, and allocate resources
- Develop capacity plans and skills assessments
- Stay up to date on the latest security threats and secure application design and coding practices
- Manage third party consultants
- Lead the design, craftsmanship, availability, resilience, security and scalability of your solutions
- Foster a culture to stay on top of technology trends and participate in technology communities
- Encourage innovation, inclusion, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity
- Lead and mentor a team of development, quality assurance, and support engineers
- Simultaneously drive multiple large initiatives potentially across multiple scrum teams
- Prepare and present technical presentations and project status
- Provide required information for the annual budget
What Are We Looking For in This Role?
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 12 or more years of total experience in software development using java and/or Microsoft.net technologies
- 3 or more years of experience in managing software engineering professionals
- High proficiency in applying agile methodologies in software development
- High proficiency in applying modern DevOps and QA practices
