About OML
Only Much Louder Entertainment is a market-leading, full-service creative and entertainment business network that has instigated pop culture for over two decades by creating iconic moments across television, digital content, fan experiences, branded entertainment, and in the artist-creator community. Celebrated for creating India's first multi-genre music festival, the NH7 Weekender, Only Much Louder has built India’s independent music and comedy scene from the ground up. We won the first-ever Branded Content and Entertainment Cannes Lion for ‘Dewarists’ and have been the first homegrown content business to have a strong footprint in over 22 countries.
Our businesses include:
- Move Over: OML’s creative agency on a mission to bury the boring. Turning ads into entertainment people actually want to watch, share, and talk about. We help brands act like creators and build fandoms, not just followings.
- Hypothesis: One of India’s fastest growing creator-first & influencer marketing agencies, specializing in data-driven solutions to connect brands with the right audiences
- OML Talent: OML’s legacy business representing over 90+ of the most influential creators, comedians, writers, and storytellers shaping India’s entertainment landscape.
- OML Studios: India’s premier production house developing original IPs for leading OTT platforms. Also helps brands conceptualise and produce original IPs, manage syndication and licensing.
- EighteenSixtyTwo: Bacardi’s offsite content and advertising agency, with campaigns in 20+ countries, delivering top-tier creative and content marketing solutions.
- OML Sports: A creative content studio crafting high-impact ads, social media campaigns, and sportainment content for leading teams and leagues. We bring sports stories to life with innovative formats and audience-first storytelling.
Role Overview:
OML is in the phase of growth, and across businesses, decisions are being made every week that need sharper analytical grounding.
We are building a strategic finance layer that partners closely with the CEO. Someone who lives inside the numbers, questions them, and turns them into the kind of insight that changes what leadership does next.
It’s a new capability we’re adding, and the person who takes it on will act as an individual contributor to build the strategic finance layer needed to support OML’s next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business planning and forecasting. Own the annual business plan, the rolling forecast, and the model that both are built on.
- Business unit P&Ls and unit economics. Build the muscle to see every business unit’s real economics: gross margin, contribution margin, cost to serve, capital efficiency.
- The monthly business pulse. A short, honest read of where the business is versus plan, delivered to the CEO and leadership team monthly. What’s on track, what isn’t, what needs a decision.
- Strategic finance input on major decisions. Pricing, deal structuring, new business models, capital allocation. You’ll be in the room, shaping the call.
- Board and investor pack financial content. Own the numbers-and-narrative side of what the board and investors see.
- Business planning for new initiatives. When we’re evaluating a new bet, you’ll build the model, stress-test the assumptions, and hold the commercial rigor.
- Analytics that inform action. Not dashboards for their own sake. Analysis that leads to decisions.
What this role is not:
- Not accounting, statutory, audit, or tax ownership. Those sit with the CFO and finance team.
- Not transactional finance or payroll.
- Not a pure strategy consulting role. Every recommendation you make needs commercial teeth and a defensible number behind it.
- Not a Chief of Staff role. This is deeper on finance and analytics, less broad on general execution.
What success looks like
In 6 months: You’ve deeply understood each business unit's economics. The monthly business pulse is running. You’ve rebuilt the FY27 business plan model and identified the sharpest analytical questions for the business, with a point of view on each.
In 12 months: A rolling 12-month forecast is live and updated monthly. Business unit P&Ls with clear margin analysis are standard. You’ve become the go-to strategic finance partner across the CXO team. One or two major strategic decisions have been materially shaped by your work.
What We’re Looking For:
- 6 to 10 years in business finance, FP&A, or strategic finance, at a growth-stage company where finance actually shaped decisions.
- Deeply commercial, not just analytical. You think about the business, not just the numbers.
- Strong accounting literacy. You can read a P&L, question a provision, and understand what sits behind a number.
- You’ve built business plans, unit economics, and board packs before, and can point to specific ones.
- You’ve partnered with senior leadership: CEOs, CFOs, CXOs. You know how to hold your own in that room.
- Strong opinions, held loosely. You’ll push back on the CEO, on us, and on your own first answer.
- Comfortable with cross-functional messiness. OML is a founder-led business with dynamic and evolving environments.
- You’ll create structure, not wait for it.
What we offer:
- A CEO-office role with high visibility and direct board exposure.
- The chance to build a strategic finance capability from scratch, not inherit one.
- Real influence on the shape of the business and its next phase of growth.
A note on how this role fits
We’re being direct here because we want you to come in with clarity. OML has a strong finance function that owns operational, statutory, and reporting responsibilities. This role sits alongside it, focused on the strategic and analytical layer, partnering with the CEO and business leadership. We’ll walk you through exactly how the two work together in interviews.
If you’ve read this far and this sounds like the kind of role you’ve been looking for, we’d love to talk.
Our values:
- We build opportunities for our artists, brands and fans; and it’s important for us to be reliable and efficient
- We demonstrate honesty, excellence and commitment to success
- ‘It’s not my job’ is not part of our vocabulary; we even stuff envelopes
- We make mistakes, but only to learn from them to build resilience
- We take care of ourselves and our colleagues
- We are our own managers
- We are committed to equality and inclusion
- We are mindful of the strain on the Earth's resources and are committed to reversing the trend with our behaviours where possible
