Position: Senior Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) Administrator

Job Overview :
We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) Administrator with strong expertise in managing large-scale enterprise Cloudera environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience administering CDP Private Cloud Base and supporting mission-critical production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, administer, and maintain Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) Private Cloud environments.
- Manage Cloudera Manager, cluster provisioning, configuration, monitoring, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Administer and support large production Hadoop clusters across Development, UAT, Disaster Recovery, and Production environments.
- Perform cluster expansion, node commissioning/decommissioning, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
- Manage platform security, including Kerberos, Apache Ranger, Knox, TLS/SSL, LDAP/Active Directory, and user access management.
- Monitor and optimize Hadoop ecosystem services including HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Impala, HBase, NiFi, Ozone, and Oozie/Airflow.
- Perform root cause analysis, incident management, backup, disaster recovery, and high availability administration.
- Execute Cloudera upgrades, patching, and migration activities with minimal downtime.
- Automate routine administration tasks using Shell Scripting, Python, or Ansible.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Database, Security, Data Engineering, and Application teams to ensure platform availability and performance.
Mandatory Skills
- 10–15 years of experience in Hadoop / Big Data Platform Administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cloudera CDP Private Cloud Base and Cloudera Manager.
- Experience managing large enterprise production clusters.
- Strong Linux (RHEL/CentOS) Administration.
- Hands-on experience with HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Impala, HBase, NiFi, and Ozone.
- Strong knowledge of Kerberos, Apache Ranger, Knox, LDAP/Active Directory, TLS/SSL, and platform security.
- Experience in performance tuning, capacity planning, cluster monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Grafana and Prometheus monitoring tools.
- Experience in automation using Shell Scripting, Python, or Ansible.
- Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and high availability architecture.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Cloudera Data Engineering (CDE), Cloudera Data Warehouse (CDW), and Cloudera Machine Learning (CML).
- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance (BFSI) enterprise environments.
- Cloudera Administrator Certification (CCA/CCP) is preferred.
