Growth Associate — The Fungamental Company
The Fungamental Company is India's first vertically integrated mushroom lab. We grow, extract, and bottle functional mushroom extracts under one roof — spore to bottle, nothing outsourced, nothing imported. We sell direct to consumers in India and supply mushroom ingredients to food, beverage, and supplement brands here and abroad. It's an early, fast-moving category, and we're building the credible end of it.
We're looking for a Growth Associate to be the connective tissue of the marketing function — the person who keeps content shipping, agencies moving, and customer research actually happening.
This is a generalist role. You'll do a bit of everything, own the day-to-day, and learn quickly. We care far more about how sharp you are and how well you communicate than about years on a CV.
What you'll do
- Write. Blog posts, product education, social copy, newsletter support — clear, grounded, and free of wellness fluff. This is the core of the job.
- Run point on our external partners: brief and manage the day-to-day with our creative agency, performance agency, and influencer partners. You're the first line — the one keeping timelines, closing feedback loops, and flagging when something's off.
- Help run user research and customer trials — recruiting participants, building forms, chasing responses, and pulling out what actually matters.
- Handle general marketing ops: the coordination, tracking, and follow-through that keeps a small team from dropping things.
What we're looking for
- Exceptional written and spoken communication. This is non-negotiable, and we'll test for it. You should be able to write something a stranger reads and trusts.
- 0–2 years out of college. Junior is genuinely fine. Hunger and how fast you learn matter more than experience.
- Organised and reliable — comfortable juggling several threads and owning the details without being chased.
- Curiosity about science, health, or how things actually work. You don't need a science background, but you should want to understand what you're writing about.
Nice to have
- Exposure to D2C, wellness, or consumer brands.
- Basic comfort with social, analytics, or AI tools — or the obvious appetite to pick them up fast.
Logistics
Full-time, based at our lab and office in Bangalore. Report into the marketing function.
