Role Description The Operations Executive – Extended Producer Responsibility will manage day-to-day operational activities related to EPR compliance and plastics waste management for clients. In this full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, the individual will coordinate data collection, documentation, and reporting in line with regulatory requirements and client obligations. Responsibilities include liaising with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies; tracking EPR targets and performance; and supporting implementation of sustainability and circular economy initiatives. The role involves preparing operational dashboards, maintaining accurate records, assisting in audits, and contributing to continuous improvement of EPR processes and systems.
Qualifications
- Understanding of EPR regulations, plastics waste management rules, and broader ESG and sustainability frameworks.
- Experience in operations, compliance, or environmental management, preferably within climate change, waste management, or related sectors.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills, including proficiency in data collection, reporting, and use of spreadsheets and presentation tools.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities for working with clients, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
- Attention to detail, process-oriented mindset, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines on-site.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, management, or a related discipline; relevant certifications in sustainability or EHS are an advantage.
- Familiarity with Indian environmental regulations and government compliance portals is beneficial.
- Willingness to learn, adapt to evolving regulations, and contribute to a collaborative, professional team environment.
