Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Application Engineer role based in Rajkot. The Sales Application Engineer will work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements, recommend appropriate tooling solutions, and prepare quotations and proposals. Responsibilities include conducting product demonstrations, supporting trials or tests at customer sites, and providing pre- and post-sales technical support. The role involves collaborating with internal engineering and production teams to align customer needs with feasible solutions, as well as maintaining accurate records of opportunities, customer feedback, and market trends. The Sales Application Engineer will also assist in identifying new business opportunities, participating in customer meetings, and supporting sales targets through technically sound recommendations.
Qualifications
- Strong Sales Engineering and Sales skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements into practical solutions and commercial offers.
- Solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with familiarity in tooling, manufacturing processes, or industrial machinery.
- Knowledge of Electrical Engineering concepts sufficient to understand customer applications involving electromechanical systems.
- Experience providing Technical Support, including troubleshooting, product guidance, and application optimization for customers.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort working on-site in a shop-floor or industrial environment and visiting customer facilities as needed.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new products and applications.
- Prior experience in tooling, cutting tools, machine tools, or industrial sales is an advantage.
