Job details:
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader responsible for driving software development initiatives, ensuring high-quality engineering delivery, and providing technical direction to the development team. This candidate will have strong full-stack development expertise, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to balance hands-on development with technical leadership and team mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain production-grade applications across frontend and backend technologies, including React, Next.js, TypeScript, Python, and Flask
- Lead technical delivery of sprint-level initiatives by breaking down requirements, identifying dependencies and risks, and coordinating development efforts
- Establish and maintain engineering standards for code quality, testing, documentation, secure coding, and Definition of Done adherence
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to software engineers, including code reviews, pair programming, knowledge sharing, and professional development
- Partner with Solution Architects and DevOps Engineers to ensure solutions meet architectural, CI/CD, security, testing, and release-readiness standards
- Support Agile development practices including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and blocker resolution
- Identify technical risks, technical debt, quality gaps, and security concerns and drive appropriate corrective actions
- Maintain technical documentation including API specifications, coding standards, runbooks, reusable development patterns, and architecture decisions
- Support post-deployment monitoring, incident resolution, and continuous improvement of engineering practices
- Participate in hiring activities, including technical assessments, interviews, and evaluation of engineering candidates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in B.E., B.Tech, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
- 12+ years of professional software development experience with strong hands-on full-stack development expertise
- Strong experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Python, and Flask
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, SQL databases, cloud platforms, Docker, and CI/CD workflows
- Working knowledge of DevSecOps, SAST, automated testing, deployment processes, and secure coding principles including OWASP Top 10
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, and technically developing software engineers
- Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and software delivery practices
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
- Ability to balance hands-on engineering responsibilities with technical leadership and team oversight
- Demonstrated ability to identify risks, solve complex technical challenges, and drive engineering initiatives to successful delivery
- Experience participating in technical hiring and talent assessment
